Greetings
The Fukushima Robot Test Field (RTF) is the major research and development base for land, maritime
and aerial field robots developed based on Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework.
RTF is a one-of-a-kind facility in the world where robot performance evaluation test and flight
training can be carried out while reproducing the actual operating conditions such as infrastructure
and disaster sites.
ROBOTES EXPO 2021, a demonstration exhibition event related to drones and robots, will be held at
RTF. In each field, various drones and robots are demonstrated and exhibited to showcase the latest
technology. We look forward to the participation of robot developers, researchers, engineers,
related industrial operators, and robot users.

About Fukushima Robot Test Field (RTF)
The Fukushima Robot Test Field (RTF) is a major research and development base for land, maritime and
aerial field robots developed based on Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework. RTF is a one-of-a-kind
facility in the world where robot performance evaluation test and flight training can be carried out
while reproducing the actual operating conditions such as infrastructure and disaster sites
RTF has two sites, i.e. Minamisoma site and Namie site. Minamisoma site has unmanned aircraft
facilities, infrastructure inspection and disaster response robot facilities, underwater and
maritime robot facilities, and development base facilities, within the reconstruction industrial
park in Minamisoma City. The size of the site is approx. 1000 m from east to west and approx. 500 m
from north to south. Namie site has a runway and a hanger in Namie Town Tanashio industrial park. In
2021, the competition of infrastructure and disaster response of the World Robot Summit 2020 will be
held at the test plant and tunnel.
